Membership in MAGAL is open to mental health professionals, attorneys, and others who work in or with the Probate and Family Courts or who have a professional interest in child custody disputes or litigation. Membership is by application, which can be submitted on line or by mail, and is subject to approval of the board. Our membership year runs from October 1 for everyone and dues are $75. New members whose applications are submitted after May 1 may pay $40 for the remainder of the year.
Membership in MAGAL comes with many benefits. Members have access to the collective knowledge, experience and wisdom of people who have been working in the courts for years. We offer numerous networking opportunities for our members who seek to enhance their practices along with their expertise. In addition to our fully searchable on-line directory, we publish a print directory that is provided to all members and to judges and family service officers in every one of our probate and family courts.. Members attend conferences and the annual dinner at discounted rates. Many members feel that one of the most important benefits of membership is access to our listserv.
